No. 9 Maryland 60, Rutgers 50: Dez Wells registered 20 points, 10 rebounds and four steals as the Terrapins spoiled the Scarlet Knights' home finale.

Jake Layman added 14 points as Maryland (25-5, 13-4 Big Ten) won its sixth straight game and handed Rutgers its 13th consecutive loss. Melo Trimble contributed 10 points despite 3-of-13 shooting, including 0-of-5 from outside the arc.

Greg Lewis scored a career-high 14 points to pace the Scarlet Knights (10-20, 2-15). The junior center shot 6-of-10 from the field, while the team's other four starters were 8-of-35 as part of a collective 32.2 percent shooting effort for Rutgers.

The score was tied at 45-45 when Wells made a jumper, two foul shots and a dunk to ignite a late 8-0 run that Damonte Dodd capped with a dunk with 3:40 left. Lewis' bucket got Rutgers within 53-50 with just over two minutes remaining before Wells contributed a layup and two free throws as part of a 7-0 game-ending run for the visitors.

The Terrapins led for virtually all of the first half and held the Scarlet Knights to three points in the final six minutes to take a 31-23 lead into the break. Layman's 3-pointer pushed the lead to 41-30 early in the second half, but Rutgers finally caught up on Myles Mack's 3-pointer with roughly six minutes to go.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Rutgers F Kadeem Jack grabbed 16 rebounds, including six offensive boards. ... Maryland only had six assists on 22 field goals. ... The teams combined for 35 offensive rebounds, including 20 by the Scarlet Knights.
