No. 11 Kansas 64, TCU 61: Frank Mason III scored 16 points as the visiting Jayhawks held off a late Horned Frogs rally to remain in sole possession of first place in the Big 12.

Landen Lucas finished with eight points, seven rebounds and three blocks and Perry Ellis added eight points for Kansas (17-3, 6-1 Big 12). The Jayhawks, who finished with 12 blocked shots, finished with a 35-4 edge in bench points.

Kyan Anderson scored 17 points and had three steals, Kenrich Williams finished with 13 points and Trey Zeigler added 12 points and 11 rebounds for TCU (14-6, 1-6), which lost for the sixth time in seven games. Chris Washburn finished with a game-high 12 rebounds to go along with seven points for the Horned Frogs, who shot 30.6 percent from the floor and made just 15-of-29 free throws.

Kansas, despite losing leading scorer Perry Ellis after only 76 seconds with two fouls, used an 18-2 run capped by a 3-pointer by Wayne Selden Jr. to build a 23-10 lead midway through the first half. But TCU answered with a 8-0 run of its own and trailed just 36-30 at halftime

The Horned Frogs opened the second half with a 7-0 run capped by a 3-pointer by Anderson to take a 37-36 lead. The Jayhawks then took control with a 12-0 run a few minutes later highlighted by four points each by Mason and Lucas to take a 52-43 lead, but TCU, which managed just one field goal over a 10 1/2 minute span, made it a one possession game three different times down the stretch but could never regain the lead with Charles Hill Jr. missing a rushed potential game-tying 3-pointer at the buzzer.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Kansas, which had just three turnovers in its 75-62 victory at Texas on Saturday including none in the second half, finished with 14 turnovers. ... The Jayhawks improved to 13-0 this season when leading at halftime. ... Mason has scored in double figures in 17 straight games.
