Purdue 83, No. 21 Indiana 67: Rapheal Davis scored 19 points and pulled down five rebounds as the Boilermakers made short work of the visiting Hoosiers in Big 10 play.

A.J. Hammons added 11 points and set a career high with eight blocked shots for Purdue (13-8, 5-3 Big Ten), which shot 58.7 percent. Bryson Scott tallied 11 points and six rebounds off the bench while Vince Edwards had nine points for the Boilermakers, who matched their conference win total from last season.

Yogi Ferrell led the way with a game-high 21 points for Indiana (15-6, 5-3), which couldn't overcome 37.9 percent shooting - including 4-of-19 from 3-point range. James Blackmon Jr. was held to 13 points on 4-of-13 shooting for the Hoosiers, who dropped back-to-back games for the first time this season.

Hammons converted a three-point play as part of a 13-2 surge to put Purdue in front 20-8 and Scott later scored at the rim to help the Boilermakers double up Indiana 30-15. Hammons went 4-of-4 from the floor as Purdue shot a sizzling 63 percent in the first half to take a 38-27 lead into intermission.

P.J. Thompson buried a 3-pointer to put Purdue in front 49-32 before Troy Williams' two-handed slam a short time later pulled Indiana within 10, but the Boilermakers rattled off eight straight points to pull away 62-44. Davis sank two free throws and connected from beyond the arc to put Purdue in total control at 73-53 and the Boilermakers went on to record their sixth victory in the last eight meetings with the Hoosiers in West Lafayette.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Purdue's bench outscored Indiana's reserves 31-14. … The Boilermakers went 25-of-33 from the free-throw line while the Hoosiers finished 13-of-18. ... Ferrell has knocked down at least one 3-pointer in a school-record 52 straight games, which is also the longest active streak in the nation.
