Temple 86, UCF 62: Jesse Morgan, Will Cummings and Quenton DeCosey combined for 42 points and zero turnovers as the Owls' guards proved to be too much for the host Knights.

Morgan had a team-high 15 points and matched DeCosey with three 3-pointers as the Owls (14-7, 5-3 AAC) won their second straight following a three-game skid. Jacksonville native Cummings added 14 points for Temple while Devin Coleman scored a season-high 14 on 6-of-7 shooting off the bench.

The Knights (9-11, 2-7) played without leading scorer B.J. Taylor (concussion symptoms) and shot 29.2 percent in the first half before scoring 44 points in the second half once the outcome had essentially been decided. Brandon Goodwin notched 17 points and Daiquan Walker scored 14 for UCF, which lost its fourth straight.

Morgan scored 11 first-half points and Cummings added 10 as Temple led 37-18 at intermission. The Owls made 6-of-13 3-pointers in the opening session - compared to 1-of-10 for the Knights - and finished 10-of-18 from behind the arc.

DeCosey heated up in the second half, draining three 3-pointers to overcome a scoreless first half as Temple cruised down the stretch. The Owls' previous high for points came in their 84-78 victory over UCF on Jan. 4, as they entered Wednesday's action ranked 244th in the country in scoring (64.6 points).
