Ohio State 82, No. 23 Indiana 70: D'Angelo Russell tallied 22 points and 10 assists to lead the Buckeyes to a Big Ten victory over the visiting Hoosiers.

Jae'Sean Tate scored 20 points on 9-of-10 shooting for Ohio State (16-5, 5-3 Big Ten), which snapped a three-game skid against ranked opponents. Marc Loving scored 12 points off the bench and Shannon Scott added 10 as the Buckeyes shot 62.3 percent and improved to 13-1 at home.

Yogi Ferrell hit six 3-pointers and finished with 26 points to lead Indiana (15-5, 5-2), which had a four-game winning streak halted. Collin Hartman was 4-for-5 from 3-point range for 12 points, but leading scorer James Blackmon Jr. was limited to nine points on 4-of-12 shooting.

The Buckeyes took their largest lead of the game at 51-38 on Loving's 3-pointer early in the second half, and the Hoosiers couldn't come up with enough defensive stops to make a charge. They got within six at one point and a Ferrell layup cut it to 72-65 with about 3 1/2 minutes left, but Scott answered with a three-point play and fed Tate for a bucket inside and Indiana never threatened again.

Indiana hit its first eight shots and led 18-12 after seven minutes, but the Hoosiers committed eight turnovers over the remainder of the half. The Buckeyes used a 20-6 burst to open a double-digit lead and took a 38-32 advantage to halftime after Russell's three-point play in the final seconds.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Indiana F Hanner Mosquera-Perea missed his fourth straight game since injuring his right knee in practice on Jan. 12. … Ferrell went 6-of-11 from 3-point range and has made a triple in a school-record 51 consecutive games. … Ohio State improved to 15-0 when leading at halftime this season.
