Oregon 75, USC 67: Joseph Young scored 19 points, and the Ducks survived 24 percent second-half shooting to top the visiting Trojans.

Elgin Cook added 15 points and Dillon Brooks had 12 for Oregon (13-6, 3-3 Pac-12), which won its ninth straight in the series. The Ducks, who also received 11 points off the bench from Jalil Abdul-Bassit and four assists, three blocks and a career-high 13 rebounds from Jordan Bell, finished 25-of-31 at the free-throw line to survive a 6-of-25 showing from the field over the final 20 minutes.

Julian Jacobs and Katin Reinhardt scored 16 points apiece to pace USC (9-9, 1-5), which has lost three straight and five of its last six games. Jordan McLaughlin added 14 points, and Nikola Jovanovic had 10 and 10 rebounds for the Trojans, who never led and were outrebounded 45-37.

Oregon took a 44-31 lead into the second half but steadily grew cold, and USC tied the contest at 61 on a three-point play from Jacobs with 5:40 remaining. The Trojans, however, picked the wrong time for their own dry spell, misfiring on their next six field-goal attempts and two free-throw tries, and the hosts were able to close out the win at the free-throw line.

Oregon jumped out to 7-0 and 16-2 leads early before USC righted itself behind McLaughlin and pulled within 27-22 with 8:44 remaining. The Ducks, however, outscored the visitors 17-9 the rest of the half to take the 13-point advantage into the break.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Oregon improved to 12-2 at home. … Young has scored 1,012 points as a Duck to become the fourth Oregon player to record 1,000 in his first two seasons after totalling 916 in two years at Houston. … USC has surrendered 70 or more points in 10 games this season, including eight of its last 10 contests.
