Temple 73, USF 48: Jesse Morgan knocked down five 3-pointers en route to 19 points as the host Owls snapped a three-game skid.

Quenton DeCosey chipped in 14 points for Temple (13-7, 4-3 American Athletic), which had not scored more than 60 points in any of its previous three outings. Will Cummings added 12 points and had three of his team's nine steals.

Corey Allen Jr. recorded 12 points and Ruben Guerrero had 10 as USF (7-12, 1-5) lost for the 11th time in 13 games. The Bulls' issues included 30.4 percent shooting from the field and a 3-of-13 performance from 3-point range, not to mention 15 turnovers.

The Owls closed the first half on a 20-4 run to take a 39-20 advantage into the break. Morgan began the surge with a pair of 3-pointers and added another with about a minute left en route to 4-of-5 3-point shooting in the opening 20 minutes.

The Bulls scored the first five points of the second half but struggled to get stops as DeCosey, Morgan, Cummings and Jaylen Bond scored on consecutive possessions to restore a 20-point margin. Morgan's final 3-pointer increased the cushion to 65-41 with just under 6 1/2 minutes to go.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Morgan is 8-of-13 from 3-point range in the last two games after enduring a 3-for-23 slump from behind the arc in the previous two contests. ... The Bulls' bench combined for 12 points on 3-of-14 shooting. ... Neither team shot well from the foul line, as Temple was 9-of-16 while South Florida finished 11-of-22.
