The Mustangs, however, were boosted by a pair of baskets from Kennedy and a 3-pointer and two free throws from Moore in scoring 11 straight points to take control 54-38, and the Green Wave were only able to get as close as 12 points in the final 6:50.

SMU used an 11-0 run to take a 15-8 lead seven minutes into the game, but Hook’s third 3-pointer of the opening half put the Green Wave up 25-22 with 6:19 to play. The Mustangs, though, closed the half with an 11-5 run to take the three-point advantage into the break.

GAME NOTEBOOK: SMU has its first three-game conference road win streak since 2003. … The Mustangs have outrebounded 17 of 19 opponents this season and 15-2 in those contests. … SMU G Keith Frazier missed his second straight game as he appeals the academic-ineligibility ruling handed down by the NCAA last week.
