No. 13 Kansas 86, Texas Tech 54: Perry Ellis scored 15 points and Kelly Oubre Jr. added 14 as the host Jayhawks routed the Red Raiders in Big 12 play.

Cliff Alexander scored 12 points off the bench as Kansas (13-2, 2-0) defeated Texas Tech for the 11th straight time. Frank Mason III contributed 10 points and five assists for the Jayhawks, who were 11-of-22 from 3-point range.

Justin Jamison scored 12 points off the bench for the Red Raiders (10-6, 0-3), who have lost five of their last six games. The Red Raiders shot just 32.1 percent from the field and 13-of-25 from the free-throw line and leading scorer Devaughtah Williams scored his only points when he made a 3-pointer with just over three minutes remaining.

Kansas started fast by scoring 11 of the first 13 points and the lead reached 29-11 on two free throws by Mason with 7:02 left in the half. Oubre’s dunk made it a 21-point margin and the half ended with the Jayhawks on top 42-25 and the Red Raiders saddled with a 20.8 field-goal percentage.

The contest became even more one-sided at the start of the second half when Kansas scored the first 11 to take a 53-25 lead on Ellis’ basket. A dunk by Alexander increased the margin to 30 and a 3-pointer by Ellis made it 72-37 with under seven minutes remaining.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Mason has scored in double digits in 12 straight games, the best streak by a Kansas player since Ben McLemore had a 13-game run in 2012-13. … F Justin Gray (knees) and F Alex Foster (concussion) sat out for Texas Tech. … Kansas is 15-0 at home against the Red Raiders and leads the series 28-4.
