No. 7 Gonzaga 79, Santa Clara 57: Przemek Karnowski registered 18 points and nine rebounds to power the Bulldogs to their 34th consecutive home victory.

Kyle Wiltjer added 16 points and six rebounds as Gonzaga (16-1, 5-0 West Coast Conference) shot 65.4 percent in the first half en route to its ninth straight win. Kevin Pangos contributed 13 points, four steals and four assists, Domantas Sabonis added 11 points and nine rebounds, and Byron Wesley scored 11.

Freshman Matt Hubbard matched a season high with 15 points on 5-of-9 shooting from 3-point range for the Broncos (7-10, 1-4), who lost for the 31st time in the last 33 meetings, including the last nine. Jared Brownridge added 14 points but Brandon Clark - Santa Clara's leading scorer at 14.6 points per game - had only four on 2-of-9 shooting.

The Bulldogs, who entered the game second nationally in field goal percentage at 52.8, made six of their first seven shots - highlighted by Pangos' four-point play - to take a 15-4 lead before the Broncos closed the gap to 30-29 on Nate Kratch's three-point play. Gonzaga led 44-31 at the break after responding with a 14-2 run over the final 5:36 of the first half with Karnowski scoring six of his 12 before the break during the spurt and Santa Clara missing its final six shots from the field.

Jalen Richard's 3-pointer with 15:54 remaining cut the deficit to 48-38 before Pangos' bucket and a three-point play by Wesley after Karnowski blocked a shot extended Gonzaga's advantage back to 15. The Bulldogs' lead grew to 70-47 after Sabonis' bucket capped a 10-0 run with 8:12 left.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Karnowski was 8-for-10 from the field while Sabonis was 5-for-7 to increase his field goal percentage to 70.5 - best in the nation. ... The Bulldogs won the battle of the boards 41-26 and have outrebounded every opponent this season while increasing their margin to plus-10.3. ... Gonzaga's home winning streak is the second longest in the nation to Duke's 41.
