LSU 75, Savannah State 59: Jarell Martin tied a career-high with 26 points and Jordan Mickey had 24 with a game-high 14 rebounds as the host Tigers cruised to an eighth straight win.

Mickey, who notched his eighth double-double of the season, added five blocks and Martin pulled down eight boards for LSU (11-2), which remains undefeated at home (8-0). Tim Quarterman had 13 points off the bench with four assists and Josh Gray had a game-high eight assists.

Terel Hall and Alante Fenner had 15 points apiece for Savannah State (3-10), which lost a fifth straight game. Saadiq Muhammad scored 10 points on 5-of-7 shooting while grabbing five rebounds.

LSU fell behind 16-6 after a slow start but the Tigers rallied with a 10-0 run to close the gap and Martin converted a three-point play with 3:40 to go as the hosts went on top 21-20. Martin scored the next six points for LSU and Mickey added a basket just before the break as the Tigers secured a 31-25 edge.

Gray fed Mickey inside for a dunk and Martin knocked down a triple coming out of a media timeout as LSU stretched the lead to 42-31 with 15:40 to play. Savannah State pulled within seven on Muhammad's dunk with just over nine minutes to play, but the visitors could get no closer after LSU opened it back up to double digits on back-to-back baskets.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Martin reached 20 points in back-to-back games for the first time in his career. He had 24 points against Southern Mississippi on Dec. 29. ... Martin and Mickey combined to score 25 of LSU's 31 points in the first half. ...Savannah State was outrebounded 38-23.
