Ole Miss 92, Austin Peay 63:
Jarvis Summers scored 18 points as the Rebels warmed up for a date with No. 1 Kentucky with an easy non-conference win over the visiting Governors.

Stefan Moody added 14 points, including four 3-pointers, and three steals for Ole Miss (9-4), which shot a season-best 54.8 percent from the field. Dwight Coleby added 12 points and seven rebounds off the bench, while Terence Smith had 10 points for the Rebels.

Khalil Davis led Austin Peay (5-9) with 20 points while Chris Freeman added 12 points and six rebounds. Ed Dyson chipped in with 10 points for the Governors, who shot 35.2 percent from the field.

Austin Peay started fast, taking a 10-4 lead in the opening 2:08 on a pair of 3-pointers by Dyson, but the Governors scored just four points over the next nine minutes as the Rebels took the lead. The game was tied at 19 with 5:40 to go when Ole Miss started to heat up, scoring 23 points — including seven by Summers — over the rest of the half to take a 13-point lead into the break.

The onslaught continued at the start of the second, as the lead went up to 19 in less than two minutes when the Rebels scored the first six points, and Ole Miss never looked back. An 11-2 run pushed the lead to 27 on Sebastian Saiz's layup with 11:07 to go, and a 12-0 run pushed it to 30 with 4:41 to play.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Austin Peay's Chris Horton came into the game averaging 12.1 points but finished 0-of-7 from the field and tallied just six points. … Ole Miss was red hot from 3-point range, hitting a season-high 11 on 52.4 percent shooting from beyond the arc. … The Rebels won the board battle, 41-30, led by Martavious Newby's eight — to go along with five assists.
