Stanford 74, No. 9 Texas 71 (OT): Anthony Brown scored 25 points, including the go-ahead hoop in overtime, as the visiting Cardinal upset the Longhorns.

Brown drove the lane for the go-ahead basket with 68 seconds left, and after Javan Felix missed a three-pointer, Chasson Randle swished a step-back jumper from the left wing for a 74-71 lead with 10 ticks left. Felix missed an open 3-pointer and DeMarcus Holland missed a contested shot from the arc as time ran out.

Randle scored 22 points for Stanford (7-3), which won its first game against a top-10 team on the road since 2008. Freshman Reid Travis had seven points and a season-high 14 rebounds - six offensive - as the Cardinal won on the road for the first time in three games this season.

Felix scored 19 points off the bench for Texas (10-2), which had its 15-game home winning streak snapped. Kendal Yancy scored a career-high 14 points and Jonathan Holmes added 14 for the Longhorns, who entered second in the nation in field-goal percentage defense at 31.4 percent but yielded 43.3 percent to Stanford.

Brown drained four 3-pointers and Randle added two shots from the arc as the Cardinal survived two fouls and extended time on the bench for both Randle and Stefan Nastic to stay even with Texas 31-31 at the half. In a second half where neither team could forge more than a four-point lead, Randle came off a pick and drained a jumper from the left elbow to give the Cardinal a 64-62 lead with 56 seconds, but Holmes drained a jumper with 26 seconds left before Robert Cartwright missed an off-balance jumper at the buzzer after Randle turned down a final shot.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Texas entered averaging 13 offensive rebounds per game, but was outrebounded on the offensive glass 11-9. … Brown was 1-of-8 from the arc in his previous two games. … Texas freshman Myles Turner finished with nine points, eight rebounds and three blocks.
