LaDontae Henton scored 25 points and Kris Dunn recorded 15 points and 13 assists as the Friars prevailed at the Brooklyn Hoops Holiday Invitational.

Tyler Harris added 13 points for the Friars (10-3), while Carson Desrosiers chipped in 12 points, seven rebounds and five blocks. Dunn had one fewer assist than the Hurricanes (9-3), who were led by Angel Rodriguez's 19 points and four assists.

Sheldon McClellan scored 17 points but shot 6-of-15 - the same as Rodriguez - and Miami finished at 37.3 percent overall. Tonye Jekiri pitched in with 12 points and 10 rebounds for the Hurricanes, who have lost three of their last four.

Providence led for most of the first half, although Miami used a late 13-4 run - capped by McClellan's jumper before the buzzer - to forge a 33-33 tie at the break. Rodriguez led all scorers with 11 points at intermission while Dunn had 10 points and five assists in the opening session.

The Friars began the second half with a 3-pointer by Ben Bentil, a three-point play by Dunn and a dunk by Henton before the Hurricanes called timeout and responded with five of the next seven points. Henton's 3-pointer pushed the lead back to eight and Providence led by at least seven points for the duration of the contest en route to its fourth straight triumph.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Dunn has 24 assists in the last two games and finished with three steals - his sixth straight game with at least three swipes. ... Henton has averaged 26 points in the last two games, shooting 10-of-19 in each contest. ... Miami's bench totaled eight points on 3-of-10 shooting.
