No. 18 Ohio State 93, Miami (Ohio) 55: Marc Loving collected 16 points and eight rebounds and D’Angelo Russell added 15 points and nine assists as the Buckeyes crushed the visiting RedHawks.

Kam Williams added 18 points off the bench and fellow freshman Keita Bates-Diop collected season highs of 12 points and seven rebounds in a reserve role as Ohio State (10-2) bounced back from a loss to North Carolina. Shannon Scott handed out seven of the Buckeyes’ 25 assists.

LJ Livingston scored a season-high 17 points on 7-of-8 shooting to pace Miami (3-8). Geovonie McKnight chipped in 10 points as the RedHawks missed out on a chance to earn back-to-back wins for the first time this season.

Russell buried a 3-pointer on the opening possession and Ohio State never trailed. Bates-Diop’s put-back capped a 17-0 run and gave the Buckeyes a 34-7 lead before they settled for a 46-24 lead at the break.

Loving hit a pair of 3-pointers and Russell drained another in an 11-0 spurt early in the second that pushed the edge to 57-26. Miami got as close as 63-40 just in front of the midway point in the half but Ohio State quickly pushed it back out and coasted to the finish.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Miami entered the contest as one of the worst rebounding teams in the country but held its own on the glass, losing the battle 43-36. … The Buckeyes forced 19 turnovers while Russell, Scott and Williams each grabbed a pair of steals. … Loving went 2-of-3 from beyond the arc and is 10-of-15 in the last three games.
