Ole Miss 82, SE Missouri State 51: Terence Smith, a transfer from UT Martin, registered 16 points and three 3-pointers in his first career start to lead the Rebels past the Redhawks at the Jack Jones Classic in Southaven, Miss.

M.J. Rhett notched 14 points and Stefan Moody had 13 for Ole Miss (8-3). Sebastian Saiz chipped in with 11 points and seven rebounds while second-leading scorer Ladarius White could muster only four points on 0-of-8 shooting.

Jarekious Bradley had 10 points on 3-of-15 shooting for Southeast Missouri State (5-7). Josh Langford supplied eight points and five rebounds off the bench while T.J. Thomas had four blocked shots.

Behind six points from Rhett and 3-pointers by Moody and Smith, the Rebels raced out to a 19-4 advantage, and it only got worse from there for the Redhawks, who shot 31.7 percent. Ole Miss closed the half on a 16-2 run, capped by Dwight Coleby's dunk that made it 47-24 at halftime.

Even a 5 1/2-minute scoring drought by Ole Miss couldn't do much to help the Redhawks, who still trailed by 19 with 11:36 remaining despite a 10-0 run. Martavious Newby produced seven points, seven rebounds and five assists for the Rebels, who shot 51 percent in giving coach Andy Kennedy his 200th career victory and 178th at Ole Miss.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Rhett had 12 points on 6-of-7 shooting to lead an 18-of-34 performance in the first half for Ole Miss, which also made 8-of-10 free throws before the break. ... Rebels senior PG Jarvis Summers, the SEC's active leader in points, assists, minutes and wins, did not play for undisclosed reasons. ... Smith, Newby and Moody combined to go 15-of-17 from the foul line for Ole Miss, which made 26-of-31 as a team.
