St. John's 74, Fairleigh Dickinson 52: D'Angelo Harrison scored 26 points and the host Red Storm never trailed en route to their third straight victory.

Phil Greene IV scored 12 of his 16 points in the first half and Chris Obekpa dominated inside with 10 points, 12 rebounds and six blocked shots as St. John's (7-1) improved to 12-0 all time against the Knights (3-5). Sir'Dominic Pointer was also in double figures with 12 points and added six rebounds for the Red Storm, who shot 56.9 percent from the floor.

Mustafaa Jones led the way with 18 points for Fairleigh Dickinson, which was outrebounded 35-24 and converted only 10-of-21 free throws. Xavier Harris added 13 points and eight rebounds as the Knights lost for the fifth time in six games.

Greene hit back-to-back baskets in a 6-0 spurt as the Red Storm opened a 28-18 lead. Malachi Nix buried a 3-pointer to cut the deficit to eight but Harrison connected from behind the arc as St. John's closed the half with a 6-0 run for a 39-25 edge.

Consecutive dunks by Pointer pushed the lead to 51-34 with 12 1/2 minutes to play before Jones and Matt MacDonald knocked down threes to slice the deficit to 51-40. The Knights were still within 10 before Harrison hit four straight free throws and Obekpa's tip-in made it 61-45 with just over five minutes to play.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Red Storm G Rysheed Jordan, coming off the bench for the third straight came, had eight points and five assists. ... Harris has grabbed 19 rebounds in the past two games after pulling down a combined three in the previous two contests. ... St. John's, which entered the contest ranked sixth nationally with seven blocks per game, swatted away 11 while the Knights didn't have any.
