Radford 68, Virginia Tech 66: R.J. Price scored 25 points, including a go-ahead layup with 27 seconds remaining, as the visiting Highlanders upended the Hokies.

Price hit five 3-pointers and Brandon Holcomb provided 14 points and seven rebounds for Radford (5-3). Ya Ya Anderson scored all nine of his points in the first half and Javonte Green chipped in with eight points and 10 rebounds for the Highlanders.

Adam Smith had 12 points and Justin Bibbs added 10 points and four rebounds for Virginia Tech (4-4). Joey Van Zegeren notched 10 points and five rebounds, Devin Wilson supplied 11 points, six rebounds and four assists and Jalen Hudson had nine points and three steals for the Hokies.

The 3-point shot was the difference in the first half as the Highlanders made seven to just two for the Hokies. Price nailed three triples during the opening five minutes to give Radford a 13-5 lead and then Anderson got into the act with three of his own to propel the Highlanders to a 39-30 advantage at intermission.

After scoring two points in the first half, Bibbs scored the first eight points of the second half for Virginia Tech, which trailed 48-46 with 12:20 left. The Hokies took their first lead in over 30 minutes of game action at 57-55 on a 3-pointer by Smith and led 66-60 with two minutes left before Radford scored the final eight points, including a dunk by Holcomb and a 3-pointer by Rashun Davis, to steal the win.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Radford was 7-of-12 from outside the arc and 8-of-15 inside of it in the first half. ... The Highlanders finished 26-of-50 from the field, while the Hokies went 27-of-54. ... Green made a free throw with 17 seconds left for Radford and Bibbs missed a 3-point attempt with two seconds left for Virginia Tech.
