SMU 66, Wyoming 53: Nic Moore scored a season-high 25 points as the Mustangs pulled away with a late run to earn a home win over the previously-undefeated Cowboys.

Yanick Moreira added 15 points on 5-of-6 shooting and 13 rebounds for SMU (5-3), which shot 56.1 percent from the field. Ben Moore was 8-of-8 from the free-throw line and finished with 14 points to go along with seven rebounds.

Derek Cooke Jr. and Riley Grabau each scored 15 points to lead Wyoming (7-1), which was playing its first road game. Josh Adams chipped in nine points, six assists and three steals for the Cowboys, who hit 8-of-27 from 3-point range.

The first half was tight throughout as neither team was able to open up much of a lead, with the last of four ties coming on Adams' free throws with 3:11 to go. SMU responded with a quick 5-0 run - all by Nic Moore - before a three-point play by Charles Hankerson Jr. had the lead back down to two at halftime.

It was more of the same in the second half before Wyoming took a six-point lead on Jason McManamen’s 3-pointer with 10:46 to play. But the Mustangs took control with a 16-3 run over the next seven-plus minutes as the Cowboys managed just a Larry Nance Jr. free throw over a nearly eight-minute span down the stretch.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Moore had just set his previous season high of 23 against Monmouth in the Mustangs' last game. … The Cowboys came into the game 10th in the country in assists at 18.1 per game and finished with 15 on 20 field goals. … SMU dominated the boards 35-16 as Wyoming recorded a season low.
