Joseph Young collected 20 points, eight rebounds and six assists as the Ducks cruised past the visiting Cavaliers.

Elgin Cook added 19 points on 9-of-10 shooting and eight boards while Dillon Brooks collected 14 points and 11 rebounds for Oregon (5-2). Jordan Bell added 10 points and 11 rebounds off the bench and Dwayne Benjamin scored 11 as the Ducks' reserves totaled 29 points.

Thomas Pierce had 16 points and seven rebounds to lead Concordia (8-2), which has dropped two in a row following eight straight wins to begin the season. Kory Kirwan added 12 points off the bench for the Cavaliers.

Brooks’ layup gave Oregon a 22-9 lead midway through the first half and it spread to 34-16 when he scored from in close less than four minutes later. Young scored twice in the final minute to send the Ducks into the break up 47-26.

Concordia came out hot in the second half and drew within 53-42 on Anthony Holton’s jumper with just under 15 1/2 minutes to play. Young found Bell for a pair of dunks, and took a feed from Bell for a dunk of his own in a 6-0 spurt, and Oregon had the advantage back up to 23 points with under 11 1/2 minutes remaining before coasting to the finish.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Ducks struggled to 1-of-16 from beyond the arc in the first half and finished 5-of-26. … Oregon doubled up Concordia on the boards 60-30. … Benjamin returned after missing the previous two games with an ankle injury and was 5-of-11 from the field in 20 minutes.
