: Kyan Anderson had 16 points, six assists and four steals as the Horned Frogs pounded the visiting Cougars.

Chauncey Collins added 10 points off the bench, the only other player in double figures for TCU. Kenrich Williams had nine points and 10 rebounds while Karviar Shepherd, Chris Washburn and Brandon Parrish scored eight apiece for the Horned Frogs (2-0).

Josh Hawkinson had 14 points and 13 rebounds off the bench to lead Washington State. DaVonte Lacy scored 11 while Dexter Kernich-Drew and Jordan Railey finished with seven points apiece for the Cougars (0-2).

The Horned Frogs scored the first 14 points of the game and were up 20-4 before Washington State found some brief footing and cut the deficit to seven just past the midway point of the first half. Another burst of nine unanswered points by TCU ended that challenge and the Horned Frogs eventually carried a 45-26 lead into the break.

The Cougars hinted at getting back into the game early in the second half as Lacy’s layup trimmed the deficit to 14, but seven straight points by TCU stretched the Horned Frogs’ lead at 56-35. TCU shot 8-for-16 from 3-point range.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Washington State starters combined for two rebounds in the first half. ... The Horned Frogs, who grabbed 18 offensive rebounds on Monday, have 35 over their first two games. ... TCU improved to 12-1 when scoring at least 70 points since coach Trent Johnson took over before the 2012-13 season.
