Georgia 69, LSU 61: Charles Mann scored 22 points and Kenny Gaines added 20 as the visiting Bulldogs clinched the No. 3 seed in next week’s SEC tournament by completing a season sweep of the Tigers.

Mann collected 10 rebounds and shot 12-of-14 from the foul line for Georgia (18-12, 12-6 SEC), which shot 47.9 percent and snapped the Tigers’ seven-game home winning streak. Gaines shot 7-of-10 from the field and 6-of-7 from 3-point range to help the Bulldogs win their fourth road game this season.

Andre Stringer led LSU (18-12, 9-9) with 22 points while Jarell Martin contributed 13 points off the bench. Johnny O'Bryant, who entered the game leading the Tigers in scoring (15.9) and rebounding (7.9), finished with five points on 2-of-8 shooting along with eight boards.

Georgia shot 52.4 percent from the field in the first half and led 30-28 at the break, and the Bulldogs took their largest lead 47-35 with just over 14 minutes remaining. Mann made two foul shots to give Georgia a 65-52 advantage with 3:28 left, and the Tigers’ late rally fell short when they missed three shots from beyond the arc in the final minute.

LSU, which shot 36.4 percent and missed 18 of its 23 shots from 3-point range, enters the SEC tournament as the No. 7 seed after falling into a sixth-place tie with Ole Miss and Missouri. Jordan Mickey had nine points and eight rebounds for the Tigers, who lost despite forcing 16 turnovers.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Gaines, who has averaged 19.2 points over his last five games, was 4-for-4 from 3-point range and scored 12 points in the first half. … Georgia, which tied for second in the SEC but lost the tiebreaker with Kentucky, has won 12 league games for the first time since 1985. … The Bulldogs improved to 14-0 when leading at the half.
