Missouri led by 21 points on two occasions before Givens made a 3-pointer as part of a 7-0 run that pulled LSU within 61-47. Grill made a 3-pointer to stop the run, but Collins scored five points to help LSU creep within 12.

A 3-pointer by Grill and a dunk by Mitchell put Missouri in command with an 18-point lead with five minutes remaining.

LSU's Corey Chest's field goal started the scoring, but Robinson scored five points during a 12-2 run that gave Missouri a 12-4 lead. Collins made a 3-pointer to stop the run, but Bates, Robinson and Warrick each made a 3-pointer during an 11-2 run that pushed Missouri's lead to 23-9.
