Markus Burton had another big game by scoring 21 points and host Notre Dame used key outside shooting to upend Clemson 69-62 on Saturday night at South Bend, Ind.

Notre Dame made 10 shots from 3-point range compared to five for Clemson.

Tae Davis, who was 4-for-4 on free throws in the final 55 seconds, finished with 18 points and Carey Booth posted 11 points for Notre Dame (12-17, 7-11 Atlantic Coast Conference), which has won five of its last six games. The Irish knocked off NCAA Tournament contenders Wake Forest and Clemson in back-to-back home games.

Burton, a freshman guard, was coming off 28- and 31-point outings against Syracuse and Wake Forest, respectively. He also led the team with six rebounds and four assists against Clemson.

PJ Hall poured in 21 points for Clemson (20-9, 10-8), which had a three-game winning streak snapped and was hurt by 39-percent shooting from the field. Chauncey Wiggins had 12 points, Joseph Girard III added 11 points and Ian Schieffelin provided 10 points and 14 rebounds.

Notre Dame trailed for most of the game, but went ahead 52-50 on Davis' dunk and turned it into a 9-1 run to go up 59-51 on Burton's 3-pointer with 4:40 remaining.

Clemson rallied, but Braeden Shrewsberry's 3-pointer at the 1:29 mark boosted the margin to 64-57.

Hall, a center, was 8-for-19 shooting from the field, but just 2 of 10 on 3s.

Clemson's Chase Hunter and Girard combined to shoot 4 of 20 from the field, including 2 of 11 on 3-pointers.

Both teams made 11 of 14 free throws and committed seven turnovers.

Clemson led 34-31 at halftime after holding a 24-17 lead that was followed by Notre Dame's 7-0 run.

The Tigers shot 44.8 percent from the floor in the first half but went only 3 of 13 on 3s before the break in the teams' only meeting of the season.
