Donovan Dent had 19 points, seven assists and six rebounds to lead No. 25 New Mexico to a 91-73 victory over Wyoming in a Mountain West matchup at Laramie, Wyo., on Tuesday night.
Jaelen House added 17 points, eight rebounds and four assists, Jamal Mashburn Jr. had 15 points and Mustapha Amzil finished with 13 points for New Mexico (19-4, 7-3 Mountain West).
JT Toppin supplied 11 points and 13 rebounds for the Lobos.
New Mexico outrebounded Wyoming 51-35.
The Cowboys (12-11, 5-5) were led by Brendan Wenzel's 20 points and five rebounds.
Sam Griffin had 19 points, five rebounds and four assists, Akuel Kot contributed 13 points and Cam Manyawu had 12.
The Cowboys are now 8-2 at home.
New Mexico has won at Wyoming in consecutive seasons for the first time since rattling off three straight victories from 2012-14.
The Lobos took control of the game when they went on an 18-2 run, building a 37-20 lead with 4:37 left in the first half.
Wyoming did not convert a field goal for almost six minutes during the run. The Cowboys missed eight consecutive shots between makes.
New Mexico led 40-25 at halftime behind 11 points from Dent.
The Cowboys made 28.1 percent (9 of 32) of their shots from the field in the first half, including 1 of 12 from 3-point range.
Wyoming cut its deficit to 44-31 with 17:38 remaining in the game, but the Cowboys would not get any closer.
A 9-2 run by New Mexico that included six points from Mashburn built the lead to 53-33 with 16:24 left.
The Lobos went on another 9-2 run to take a 64-40 advantage with 12:56 remaining.
Wyoming later outscored New Mexico 12-2 to cut the gap to 74-61 with 6:28 to go. Wenzel and Griffin each canned threes during the outburst.
The Lobos answered, though, taking an 84-66 lead with 4:13 remaining after a 3-pointer by Dent.
For the game, Wyoming made 40.3 percent of its shots, including 6 of 26 from beyond the arc.
New Mexico shot 45.1 percent from the field and 37.1 percent from 3-point range.
