Hunter Dickinson recorded 16 points and 11 rebounds to help No. 8 Kansas cruise to an 83-54 victory over Oklahoma State on Tuesday night in Big 12 play at Lawrence, Kan.
KJ Adams Jr. made all seven of his shots while also scoring 16 points, and he added six assists for the Jayhawks (17-4, 5-3 Big 12). Kansas had split its previous six games before the wire-to-wire victory over the Cowboys.
Dajuan Harris Jr. added 12 points and seven assists, Johnny Furphy scored 11 points and Elmarko Jackson had 10 for the Jayhawks, who defeated the Cowboys for the seventh consecutive time. Kansas improved to 11-0 at home.
John-Michael Wright scored 16 points for Oklahoma State (9-12, 1-7), which lost for the seventh time in eight games. Brandon Garrison added 11 points for the Cowboys.
Kansas played without leading scorer Kevin McCullar Jr. (bruised knee).
Oklahoma State's Bryce Thompson exited with a right shoulder injury after crashing to the court with 15:33 left in the first half. Thompson, who began his college career at Kansas, returned to the bench in the second half with his arm in a sling.
Kansas shot 57.6 percent from the field, including 8 of 18 (44.4 percent) from 3-point range. The Jayhawks held a 41-30 rebounding edge.
The Cowboys made just 29.3 percent of their shots and were 8 of 29 (27.6 percent) from behind the arc.
The Jayhawks hit 18 of 28 (64.3 percent) from the field en route to taking a 44-26 halftime advantage.
Kansas ran off eight straight points to open a 20-10 lead on Jackson's jumper with 11:12 left in the half.
Later in the half, the Jayhawks rattled off 12 in a row, capped by Dickinson's jumper to make it 33-15 with 5:45 remaining.
The lead was 21 before the Cowboys' Jarius Hicklen connected on a trey with 30 seconds to go.
Kansas remained in control in the second half and pushed the lead to 57-33 on Jackson's layup with 14:28 left in the game.
The Jayhawks' lead topped out at 31 points.
