Jonathan Mogbo scored 21 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, and host San Francisco pulled away for a 76-58 win over Minnesota on Sunday evening.

Marcus Williams added 20 points on 9-for-14 shooting for San Francisco (5-2). Mike Sharavjamts finished with 13 points, and Ryan Beasley scored 11 off the bench.

Dawson Garcia scored 19 points to lead Minnesota (4-2). Pharrel Payne contributed 15 points off the bench as the only other Golden Gophers player to score in double digits.

San Francisco shot 52.4 percent (33 of 63) from the field. Minnesota shot 44 percent (22 of 50).

The Dons enjoyed a 25-5 advantage in points off turnovers. Minnesota finished with 18 turnovers, compared with six for San Francisco.

A jumper by Minnesota's Cam Christie brought the Golden Gophers within 55-50 with 9:04 left.

From there, the Dons went on a 13-2 run to seize a 68-52 advantage with 4:52 to play. Williams and Sharavjamts had two layups apiece during the decisive run, and Mogbo punctuated it with a layup off a feed from Beasley.

The Golden Gophers never recovered as they trailed by at least 14 points the rest of the way.

San Francisco established a 37-29 lead at the half.

It was the first road game of the season for Minnesota, and its inexperience showed during a sloppy start. The Golden Gophers fell behind 10-1 in the first four minutes as San Francisco produced a series of layups, jump shots and free throws.

Williams and Mogbo scored four points apiece during the Dons' early run, and Isaiah Hawthorne added two points on a jumper.

San Francisco maintained a double-digit lead for most of the first half, but Minnesota pulled within five points of the lead on a pair of free throws by Mike Mitchell Jr. with 29 seconds remaining before the break. That cut the Golden Gophers' deficit to 34-29.

Ryan Beasley drained a 3-pointer as time expired in the half to push the lead back to eight.
