Jared McCain scored a season-high 24 points and No. 16 Duke rolled past visiting Queens 106-69 on Saturday afternoon at Durham, N.C.

Kyle Filipowski provided 19 points and Caleb Foster had 13 points for Duke (9-3), which played its final nonconference game and returns to Atlantic Coast Conference play Tuesday at home vs. Syracuse. The Blue Devils have a four-game winning streak.

Blue Devils guard Tyrese Proctor, who had been out for four weeks with an ankle injury, returned in the first half. A starter in Duke's first eight games, he came off the bench Saturday and had nine points to go with four assists.

Deyton Albury's 23 points and Jaxon Pollard's 10 points were tops for Queens (6-9), which was blown out by an ACC team for the second game in a row after a loss at Clemson.

Filipowski, who was 8 of 10 from the floor, racked up his career-high fifth blocked shot by early in the second half.

Duke, which also received 10 points from Mark Mitchell, shot 58 percent from the field for its second-best mark of the season.

McCain shot 9 of 14 from the field and was 4 of 9 on 3-point attempts. Outside of his perimeter shooting, Duke was 5-for-17 on 3-point attempts.

Duke led 46-33 at the half, shooting 54.3 percent from the field and racking up its most first-half points this season. McCain's 17 points came on 7-of-10 shooting with three 3-pointers. Queens had 10 turnovers by the break but was buoyed by Albury's 15 points.

It took Duke less than four minutes to build a 14-4 lead. McCain reached the 10-point mark in just more than six minutes as the Blue Devils were producing a 13-0 run.

This was the first-ever meeting between the in-state programs.
