The Matadors came up with 14 steals in total from six players, with five making at least two. Cal State Northridge converted 19 turnovers into 20 points. Cal State Northridge also dominated in the paint, with 34 points to UCLA's 20.

The Bruins (5-5) managed 19 points on 14 Cal State Northridge turnovers, but they managed just six fast-break points to the Matadors' 14.

UCLA's Sebastian Mack led all scorers with 27 points, while Dylan Andrews shot 4 of 6 from 3-point range en route to 22 points. Adem Bona scored eight points and grabbed 10 rebounds, and Lazar Stefanovic recorded 11 points.

The rest of the Bruins' roster combined for four points.

UCLA trimmed the deficit down to one point with 7:48 remaining -- an 18-4 run spanned almost five minutes. Cal State Northridge responded with Fofana's dunk off a lob from Hunt and a 3-pointer by Hunt book-ended an 11-3 run.

The Bruins narrowed the gap to one possession just once more over the final 7:30 on the way to their third straight loss.
