PJ Hall scored 20 points on 8-for-10 shooting to lead host Clemson to a 94-54 victory over Florida State on Wednesday night.

The Tigers (19-7, 11-4 Atlantic Coast Conference) controlled the game practically from the outset and snapped a season-high three-game losing streak. Clemson also avoided what would have been a damaging loss to its NCAA Tournament resume as it remains firmly on the bubble with five conference games to play plus the ACC tournament.

Florida State (8-19, 6-10) dropped its third consecutive game and endured another tough loss in what is going down as its worst season under longtime coach Leonard Hamilton.

Clemson put together a 14-0 run starting in the second minute of the game and never trailed again. Hall and Chase Hunter each hit their first six shots as Clemson opened the game on a torrid shooting pace.

Hall ended up making his first eight shots as he carried that momentum into the second half. The Tigers led by as many as 23 points just before halftime and that lead would balloon to 41 in the second half.

Hall also had six rebounds and Hunter, who shot 7 of 9 from the field, finished with 18 points and six assists. Hunter Tyson had 10 points, eight rebounds and two steals. Joshua Beadle also had 10 points.

Clemson shot a staggering 60.3 percent from the field (35 of 58) and 12 of 25 from 3-point range. The Tigers outrebounded the Seminoles 34-20 and took advantage of 16 Florida State turnovers.

Florida State was shorthanded entering the game as Matthew Cleveland sat out with back spasms. Freshman Baba Miller started in his place and led the Seminoles with 12 points and six rebounds.
