When: 8:30 PM ET, Wednesday, December 7, 2022
Where: Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall, Bloomington, Indiana
Officials: # Don Daily, # Robert Riley Jr., # Edwin Young

Trey Galloway had a career-high 20 points and Trayce Jackson-Davis recorded the third triple-double in school history as No. 14 Indiana bounced back from its first loss of the season, beating Nebraska 81-65 in a Big Ten Conference game on Wednesday in Bloomington, Ind.

Galloway, starting for the second straight game with freshman point guard Jalen Hood-Schifino nursing a sore back, was 7 of 10 from the field and hit 4 of 6 3-pointers. The junior was scoreless in 31 minutes in Saturday's 63-48 loss at Rutgers.

His final basket came with 1:22 left off a feed from Jackson-Davis, who finished with 12 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists for the first triple-double for Indiana (8-1, 1-1 Big Ten) since Juwan Morgan in December 2018.

Nebraska (6-4, 0-1) had its three-game win streak snapped. It had won its last three road contests against ranked opponents, including Sunday's win at then-No. 7 Creighton, but never led. The Cornhuskers were without senior guard Sam Griesel, who missed the game due to an illness.

Indiana led 39-26 at halftime, scoring nearly as many points in the first half as it did at Rutgers last weekend. But the Hoosiers went nearly three minutes into the second half without scoring, letting Nebraska cut the deficit to seven.

Nebraska cut it to 48-41 with 13:35 remaining on a 3-pointer from C.J. Wilcher, who had 17 of his career-high 22 points in the second half, only to see Indiana run off the next 14 points and build a 21-point edge with 9:23 to go.

The Huskers also got 13 points from Emmanuel Bandoumel and 11 from Keisei Tominaga, while Tamar Bates had 19 off the bench for Indiana.

Indiana began the game on a 14-2 run and led by 15 less than nine minutes in. The Hoosiers were up 28-13 with 7:51 remaining in the first before Nebraska went on an 11-4 run to get within eight with 4:07 left before halftime.
