Kendric Davis scored a season-high 27 points and DeAndre Williams added 16 as Memphis dealt No. 11 Auburn its first loss of the season with an 82-73 victory in the Holiday Hoopsgiving on Saturday in Atlanta.

Davis shot 9 of 19 from the field, including 7 of 7 from the free-throw line, to go along with nine rebounds and six assists for Memphis. Williams went 7 of 13 from the field and added 11 rebounds and three assists.

Keonte Kennedy finished with nine points by going a perfect 4 of 4 from the floor. Alex Lomax chipped in 13 points and four rebounds in Memphis' sixth straight win.

Memphis (8-2), which led by as many as 15 points in the second half, shot 30 of 60 (50 percent) from the field, including 4 of 11 (36.4 percent) from 3-point range.

Memphis dominated the glass, outrebounding Auburn 43-32, including 14-11 on the offensive end that led to 11 second-chance points.

Auburn (8-1) was led by K.D. Johnson, who had 14 points on 5-of-15 shooting, including 1 of 7 from 3-point range, and Wendell Green Jr., who added 14 points and five assists. Chris Moore had 12 points, with Johni Broome finishing with 11 points and six rebounds.

Auburn shot 24 of 63 (38.1 percent) from the field, including 6 of 24 (25 percent) from beyond the arc, in addition to getting outscored 50-24 in the paint.

After Auburn pulled to within 49-44 on Green's layup with 14:17 left, Memphis countered with an 18-8 run capped by Davis' layup for a 67-52 lead with 7:55 to go.

Memphis closed the first half on an 8-2 run to take a 38-32 lead at halftime.

Davis scored 12 points and Kennedy had seven in the first 20 minutes for Memphis, which shot 15 of 31 (48.4 percent) from the field, including 3 of 7 (42.9 percent) from beyond the arc.

Auburn, which was led by Johnson's 10 points, struggled mightily in the first half, going 10 of 28 (35.7 percent) from the field, including 4 of 14 (28.6 percent) from beyond the arc.
