Notre Dame took Chaminade's best shot in a tight first half, then turned a three-point game into a 90-64 rout in the Maui Invitational in Las Vegas on Tuesday night.

Six Fighting Irish players scored in double figures, led by 17 points from Dane Goodwin and 15 points and 15 rebounds from Nate Laszewski.

Notre Dame (3-1) made 63.6 percent of its shots in the second half and 56.1 percent for the game. The Irish knocked down 12 of 26 from 3-point range overall.

Isaac Amaral-Artharee led the Silverswords (2-2) with 16 points, and Zach McIntire scored 13 points.

Notre Dame was effective inside with a 46-22 points-in-the-paint advantage.

As Chaminade did on Monday against Oregon, the Silverswords kept it close in the first half. They trailed by as many as eight points, but twice cut the lead to one.

Then a 7-0 run capped off by a McIntire 3 gave the Silverswords a 30-26 lead with 4:58 left in the half, which prompted a Fighting Irish time out. Chaminade made 6 of 15 from long range in the half.

Notre Dame responded with a 15-8 run to close out the first 20 minutes, with Blake Wesley's layup just before the halftime buzzer giving the Irish a 41-38 lead. Wesley had 12 of his 14 points in the first half.

Again, as with Oregon on Monday, the favored Division I team came out hot to start the second half, as Notre Dame pulled away with a 21-0 run inside the first seven minutes. Prentiss Hubb drove for a layup on a 3-on-1 for a 53-38 Irish lead, then Notre Dame continued the run by going inside to Paul Atkinson Jr. for five straight points.

Chaminade finally scored its first points of the second half on Paris Taylor's jumper with 13:07 to play, making the score 62-40.

Notre Dame gradually added to the lead, with four 3-pointers over the final 7:29 of the game.
