Brandon Angel made three free throws with 1.1 seconds left after he was fouled on a 3-point attempt to give Stanford a 79-76 win Saturday night over Arizona State in a Pac-12 game.

D.J. Horne's shot from beyond midcourt fell short as the buzzer sounded.

Angel and Michael O'Connell each had 16 points to lead Stanford (11-6, 4-3 Pac-12). Harrison Ingram added 13 points and 10 rebounds, and James Keefe finished with 10 points.

Arizona State (6-10, 2-4) overcame a 15-point second-half deficit to make the game close.

The Sun Devils were led by Horne's 18 points while Jalen Graham added 16.

With 1:47 remaining, Graham failed to convert on a three-point play, missing the free throw, and Arizona State trailed 72-71.

After Keefe made two free throws for Stanford, Horne nailed a 3-pointer with 1:27 remaining to tie the game at 74.

Angel drew Arizona State's Alonzo Gaffney into his fifth foul with 1:01 remaining. Angel made both free throws to give Stanford a 76-74 lead.

ASU's Marreon Jackson then committed a turnover and Ingram was fouled. He missed both free throws and Graham grabbed the rebound. Graham made a jumper in the lane to tie the game at 76 with 8 seconds left.

Angel was then fouled by Graham in the corner near the Stanford bench while trying to shoot a 3-pointer with 1.1 seconds left.

The first three minutes of the second half included three technical fouls -- two on Arizona State (coach Bobby Hurley and Horne).

Stanford increased its lead to 56-41 with 15:16 remaining, but Arizona State rallied for 11 unanswered points.

Jackson's jumper with 11:39 remaining cut the lead to 56-52.

The Cardinal ended their scoreless stretch of 4:55 with two free throws by Angel with 11:21 left.

Stanford went without a field goal for 8:26 until O'Connell made a layup with 6:50 remaining. The play gave Stanford a 61-58 lead.

Arizona State rallied to take a 65-61 lead with 4:46 left on a 3-pointer by Luther Muhammad. The Sun Devils outscored Stanford 24-5 at that point after trailing by 15 points.
