Tre Mitchell scored 14 points to lead a balanced offensive attack as No. 17 Texas rolled to an easy 63-31 victory over Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Tuesday in Austin, Texas, to remain undefeated at home.

The Longhorns' defense was the difference early in the game before the offense eventually caught fire. Texas (7-2) bounced back from a road loss at then-No. 23 Seton Hall on Thursday that ended its five-game winning streak and dropped the Longhorns 10 spots in the Associated Press poll.

No Texas player aside from Mitchell scored in double figures, but 13 players saw the court for the Longhorns and 11 of them scored in the rout. The Longhorns outshot Arkansas-Pine Bluff 42.9 percent to 30.8 percent, outrebounded the Golden Lions 37-23 and led by as many as 34 points.

Kylen Milton led the Golden Lions with eight points. Arkansas-Pine Bluff (1-11) has lost all 10 of its road games, include blowout defeats to two other teams from the Big 12 Conference -- Iowa State (83-64) and Baylor (99-54).

The Longhorns scored the game's first eight points over the initial 6:09 and led by as many as 16 points in the opening 11 minutes. Arkansas-Pine Bluff missed its first 11 shots and had seven turnovers before it scored from the floor, on a 3-pointer by Milton with 8:11 to play in the half that cut Texas' lead to 18-5.

The Golden Lions were competitive from that point through the rest of the half, with Texas leading by as many as 18 points, including 34-16 at the break.

Mitchell led the way with 11 first-half points as the Longhorns dominated despite shooting only 40.7 percent from the floor.

Milton and Shawn Williams paced the Golden Eagles with five points each prior to halftime. The rest of the team combined for just six points as Arkansas-Pine Bluff was just 6 of 20 from the floor over the first 20 minutes.

Texas stoked its advantage to 50-20 after outscoring the Golden Lions 16-4 over the first 9 1/2 minutes of the second half.
