Keisei Tominaga scored 23 points and Bryce McGowens added 22 to power Nebraska to an 83-70 victory over South Dakota in a nonconference game on Saturday in Lincoln, Neb.

Derrick Walker had 13 points and five rebounds and Kobe Webster added nine for the Cornhuskers (5-2), who extended their winning streak to four games.

Nebraska, which led by as many as 23 points in the second half, shot 45.9 percent (28-for-61) from the field and 39.1 percent (9-for-23) from 3-point range.

Tominaga shot 8-for-11 from the field, including a red-hot 5-for-6 from 3-point range, while McGowens was 6-for-12 from the floor and 2-for-5 from beyond the arc, in addition to grabbing a game-high eight rebounds. Walker was 6-for-7 from the floor and added five rebounds.

South Dakota (4-2) was led by Kruz Perrott-Hunt, who made four 3-pointers en route to scoring 19 points, and Mason Archambault, who scored 12 points before fouling out with 7:46 left. Nikola Zizic added 10 points and went 4-for-4 from the field.

The Coyotes shot 42.4 percent (25-for-59) from the field and 48 percent (12-for-25) from 3-point range. But they struggled mightily at the free-throw line, making just 8 of their 16 attempts. South Dakota also committed 18 turnovers that the Cornhuskers converted into 24 points, in addition to being outscored 36-26 in the paint.

Leading 57-51 with 12:27 remaining, Nebraska put the game away with an 18-2 run capped by C.J. Wilcher's layup that gave the Cornhuskers a 75-53 lead with 6:25 remaining.

Nebraska started to take control of the game after Perrott-Hunt's jumper pulled the Coyotes to within 34-33 with 4:29 left in the first half. The Cornhusker closed the first half on a 9-2 run to take a 43-35 lead at halftime.

Tominaga and McGowens scored 13 and 10 first-half points, respectively, for the Cornhuskers, who shot 48.3 percent (14-for-29) from the field and 40 percent (4-for-10) from 3-point range.

South Dakota, led by Perrott-Hunt's 14 points, shot the ball well in the first 20 minutes, going 12-for-27 (44.4 percent) from the field and 6-for-13 (46.2 percent) from beyond the arc. But South Dakota was slowed by its 11 turnovers that the Cornhuskers converted into 12 points.
