BOXSCORE | RECAP

When: 3:00 PM ET, Sunday, November 14, 2021
Where: Gallagher-Iba Arena, Stillwater, Oklahoma
Officials: # Doug Sirmons, # Bert Smith, # Tyler Kumpf

Keylan Boone scored 12 points and Moussa Cisse added 10 to lift host Oklahoma State to a 72-59 victory over Prairie View A&M on Sunday afternoon in Stillwater, Okla.

Isaac Likekele contributed nine points and Tyreek Smith had eight for the Cowboys (2-1), who saw 12 different players dent the scoresheet.

Oklahoma State overcame a sluggish start in the second half to bounce back from a 56-55 loss to Oakland on Friday. The Cowboys benefited from a 20-2 run in the first half and were able to withstand a 15-0 run by the Panthers (0-4) to start the second.

Oklahoma State was able to keep its distance due in large part to the sheer number of opportunities at the foul line. The Cowboys made 28 of their 46 attempts at the charity stripe, as opposed to a 16-for-21 effort by Prairie View A&M.

D'Rell Roberts, who had a team-high 27 points for the Panthers, sank a 3-pointer to trim Oklahoma State's lead to 40-33 with 13:37 to play. The Cowboys, however, answered with a 14-6 run, with Cisse scoring five points and Smith adding four points during that stretch.

Prairie View A&M, which dropped a 77-49 decision to No. 6 Michigan on Saturday, started the game looking very much like a team that had played the previous night.

The Panthers mustered just six points -- two 3-pointers by Roberts -- over the first 12 1/2 minutes to start the game. They found themselves trailing 38-15 at halftime after shooting 25 percent from the floor (5 of 20).

Oklahoma State didn't exactly light up the scoreboard in its own right.

The Cowboys held just an 11-6 lead with 10:40 left in the first half before igniting a 20-2 run.

Oklahoma State recorded 11 steals, forced the Panthers to commit 20 turnovers and outscored Prairie View 13-2 at the foul line in the first half.
