Mike Miles scored 22 points and Emanuel Miller added 12 points and 13 rebounds as TCU rolled to a 77-61 win over McNeese on Thursday in Fort Worth, Texas, in the Horned Frogs' season opener.

The Horned Frogs led by 10 points at halftime and by 14 a minute into the second half, but TJ Moss's 3-pointer made it 46-37 with 15:28 to play. Then TCU found another gear, reeling off a 7-0 run capped by a 3-pointer by Francisco Farabella to go up by a game-high 16 points and cruised to the finish line, winning its season-opening game for the eighth consecutive campaign.

Miles is one of only four returning players from last year's TCU team, for which he averaged more than 13 points per game as a freshman. Chuck O'Bannon Jr., another of the returnees, hit for 10 points for the Horned Frogs.

TCU posted a 57-34 edge in rebounding. Miller, who played last year at Texas A&M, is one of seven players from the transfer portal who have joined the Horned Frogs.

Moss hit for 17 points for McNeese. Harwin Francois and Myles Lewis scored 10 each for the Cowboys, who opened their season with an 86-62 loss at SMU on Tuesday.

The game was tight over the first 10 minutes, with McNeese opening up a 17-12 lead after a 3-pointer by Moss at the 11:54 mark. The Horned Frogs responded with a 10-0 run over the ensuing four minutes to go up 22-17 and built their lead to 31-22 on a layup by Eddie Lampkin with 4:02 to play in the half. TCU led 36-26 at the break despite going the final 2:52 of the first half without a field goal.

Miles led all scorers with 12 points at halftime, with all three of his field goals coming from beyond the arc. Taylor paced McNeese with seven points.
