PJ Hall scored a career-high 22 points as Clemson defeated Wofford 76-68 Friday night in a nonconference game at Clemson's Littlejohn Coliseum.

Hall, who scored 16 points in the opening half, made 6-of-8 shots from the floor while also grabbing eight rebounds.

Al-Amir Dawes added 13 points for Clemson (2-0), which ended the game on a 10-2 run. Hunter Tyson added 12 points while Nick Honor had 11 points and five steals for the Tigers.

The victory was the 10th in a row for Clemson against the Terriers of the Southern Conference. The Tigers improved to 12-1 all-time against Wofford (1-1).

Messiah Jones led Wofford with 16 points and Max Klesmit added 10. Both Jones and Klesmit fouled out of the game in the final minutes.

Clemson jumped out to a 24-10 lead early and led at halftime 39-31, but Wofford methodically chipped away at the Tigers' lead and pulled ahead 52-49 on a three-point play by Keaton Turner with 12 minutes remaining.

Klesmit made two free throws to tie the game at 66-66 with 2:30 to play, but Hall scored five straight points for the Tigers and Dawes buried a step-back 3-pointer at the shot clock buzzer with 19 seconds remaining to help seal the victory. David Collins added a dunk for Clemson with 13 seconds left.

The game wasn't pretty; the teams combined for 47 fouls and 33 turnovers. But Clemson shot 46.9 percent from the floor and made 9-of-21 shots from 3-point range while Wofford shot 36.2 percent overall and made only 5-of-23 3-pointers.
