Cormac Ryan scored 19 points, and Prentiss Hubb had 17 points and a game-high nine assists, leading the Notre Dame Fighting Irish to an 84-58 win over the host Pittsburgh Panthers in an ACC game on Saturday night.

This was Notre Dame's first 20-points-plus win over Pitt since 1999.

Dane Goodwin added 16 points and nine rebounds as the Irish (6-9, 3-6 ACC) won for the third time in their past four games. Notre Dame also got 14 points from Juwan Durham.

The Panthers (8-5, 4-4) lost their third straight game.

Pitt's Justin Champagnie, who entered the game leading the ACC in points and rebounds, had another big game. He posted 19 points, a game-high 11 boards, two steals and two blocks, earning his seventh double-double in his 11 games this season. He made 8-of-20 points from the floor, including 2-of-6 on 3-pointers.

However, no other Pitt player scored in double figures.

Ryan, who missed Notre Dame's previous game due to a sprained foot, came in off the bench and made 7-of-8 shots, including 5-of-6 3-pointers.

The first half, which featured eight lead changes and five tie scores, finally settled in the favor of Notre Dame, which took a 41-29 advantage into the break.

Champagnie had 15 points and eight rebounds at the half, but the rest of the Pitt team combined to score just 14 points. As a team, Pitt shot just 32.4 percent from the floor in the first half, including 4-for-18 on 3-pointers (22.2 percent). Notre Dame shot 56.7 percent in the first half, including 6-for-12 on 3-pointers.

Xavier Johnson, who entered the game leading the ACC in assists (6.3), fouled out with 11:28 left in the second half. Johnson got hit with two fouls on the same play, a personal and then a technical after he and Notre Dame's Nikola Djogo briefly tussled with each other.

By then, Notre Dame led 64-44, and the game was virtually over.

For the game, Notre Dame shot 56.1 percent, including 13-for-24 on 3-pointers (54.2 percent). Pitt shot 31.5 percent, including 8-for-26 on 3-pointers (30.8 percent).
