Spencer Jones had 17 points and Oscar da Silva added 13 in a balanced attack Saturday night that allowed Stanford to avenge an earlier defeat with a 73-66 victory over visiting Utah.

Seven players scored at least six points for the Cardinal (13-8, 9-6 Pac-12), who lost 79-65 at Utah on Jan. 14.

Timmy Allen totaled a game-high 18 points for the Utes (9-8, 6-7), who saw a three-game winning streak end. Utah's Alfonso Plummer scored 14 points and Branden Carlson added 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Riding the momentum of a 76-75 victory at California on Thursday, Utah blitzed Stanford with a 12-2, game-opening burst. Plummer hit three shots, including a pair of 3-pointers, in the impressive start.

However, Stanford dominated most of the rest of the game. The Cardinal took their first lead at 18-17 on a Ziaire Williams layup with 7:38 left in the first half, then secured a 34-22 advantage at the break after da Silva's layup in the final seconds.

Utah got as close as 56-48 on a Plummer three-point play with 6:08 to play. But Bryce Wills countered with a jumper and Jones connected on a 3-pointer, giving Stanford a comfortable margin to take down the stretch.

Jones shot 5-for-9 from 3-point range to account for all but two of his points for Stanford, which took a 69-51 home loss to Colorado on Thursday.

Starters Jaiden Delaire and Michael O'Connell added 11 points apiece for Stanford while backups Daejon Davis (seven), Williams (six) and Wills (six) combined to contribute 19 more.

Even scoreless Lukas Kisunas had a hand in the victory with a team-high eight rebounds.

The Cardinal shot 54.4 percent from the floor and outscored the Utes 24-18 on 3-pointers en route to the third win in the past four games.

The Utes, who were playing their second of four straight on road, shot just 6-for-23 (26.1 percent) from long distance and 42.6 percent on field-goal attempts overall.
