Ethan Thompson scored a game-high 19 points, making 12 of his 14 free-throw attempts, as Oregon State upset No. 21 Oregon 75-64 Saturday in Pacific-12 Conference play in Eugene, Ore.

Warith Alatishe added 14 points and 16 rebounds for the Beavers (8-5, 4-3 Pac-12), who held a 42-23 edge on the boards. Teammate Jarod Lucas scored 11 points.

The Ducks (9-3, 4-2), who were playing their first game since Jan. 9 after having to shut down the program for a week because of coronavirus concerns, were still without leading scorer Chris Duarte and swingman LJ Figueroa, who have yet to clear COVID-19 protocols. Duarte and Figueroa combine to average 28.5 points per game.

Oregon was unable to make up for their production. The Ducks' last lead was at 7-6, and they missed 10 consecutive field-goal attempts in the first half while falling behind 28-15.

The Ducks made their final five shots of the first half to pull within 34-28 by the intermission.

Oregon tied it at 34-34 early in the second half on a 3-pointer by Jalen Terry, but the Beavers used an 8-0 run to pull away again, and the Ducks never got closer than six points the rest of the way.

Eugene Omoruyi led Oregon with 15 points and nine rebounds. Terry added 13 points, Eric Williams scored 11 and Aaron Estrada tallied 10.

Oregon State shot 45 percent from the field (24 of 53) and was 22 of 24 from the free-throw line. The Ducks shot 39 percent (21 of 54) and were just 14 of 23 from the line. The Beavers had a 14-5 edge in second-chance points and outscored the hosts 30-20 in the paint.

It was the NCAA-record 355th meeting between the schools, with the Beavers holding a 191-164 advantage.
