Jahvon Blair and Chudier Bile scored 17 points each and Georgetown made 11 of 22 shots from 3-point range as the Hoyas cruised to a 78-63 win over Butler on Saturday in Big East Conference play in Washington, D.C.

The Hoyas (6-10, 4-7 Big East) also got 13 points from Jamorko Pickett and dominated in rebounding with a 38-20 edge. They used an early 13-0 run to race out to a big lead and never looked back.

Butler had won its last two games but couldn't get into a rhythm on offense and shot 39 percent for the game. After the Hoyas went in front 5-4 with 16:09 to play in the first half on a Dante Harris 3-pointer, they never trailed again.

A Jair Bolden 3-pointer and free throw helped Butler cut Georgetown's lead to 65-51 with 4:15 left in the game, but the Hoyas scored the next four points and coasted.

Chuck Harris, Bryce Golden and Bo Hodges scored 12 points each for the Bulldogs (7-11, 6-9).

Georgetown, fueled by turnovers on four straight Butler possessions, went on a 13-0 run early in the game, punctuated by Qudus Wahab's dunk at the 14:23 mark. Wahab had 12 points and nine rebounds for the game.

Another Butler mistake led to a transition 3-pointer from Blair, giving Georgetown a 26-12 lead with eight minutes left.

Blair hit another 3 as the shot clock wound down in the final seconds of the first half, and Georgetown took a 38-22 lead to halftime with Blair reaching the 1,000-point mark for his college career.

The Hoyas made 8 of 14 3-pointers and scored 14 points off turnovers in the first half.

Pickett's trey at the 16:10 mark of the second half gave Georgetown a 46-24 lead, and it also gave him 1,000 points in his career.
