When: 9:00 PM ET, Friday, December 4, 2020
Where: CHI Health Center Omaha, Omaha, Nebraska
Officials: # Tony Padilla, # Brent Hampton, # Kipp Kissinger
Attendance: 81

Eugene Omoruyi scored a game-high 22 points, Eric Williams Jr. hit five consecutive free throws during a late burst and 21st-ranked Oregon overcame Seton Hall's dead-eye 3-point shooting en route to an 83-70 nonconference win Friday night in Omaha, Neb.

Williams finished with 15 points and Chris Duarte 14 in a balanced attack as the Ducks (1-1) rebounded from a season-opening loss to Missouri with a second win over the Pirates (1-3) in the past two seasons.

Shavar Reynolds bombed in four 3-pointers to account for a majority of his team-high 17 points for Seton Hall, which shot 14-for-24 (58.3 percent) from beyond the arc.

Oregon led most of the way but was up just 54-48 with 9:11 to play before Duarte ignited a 9-0 run that busted the game open. Williams did most of the damage during the spurt with his five free throws, and when LJ Figueroa dunked with 7:06 to play, suddenly the Ducks were in command at 63-48.

Figueroa was the game's leading rebounder with nine off the bench to complement six points, four steals and two assists.

Omoruyi, a Rutgers transfer who was facing former in-state rival Seton Hall for the fourth time, connected on 10 of his 17 field-goal attempts for the Ducks, who shot 53.4 percent as a team.

Eight of Williams' 15 points came on 10 tries at the foul line.

Myles Cale (11 points), Tyrese Samuel (11), Sandro Mamukelashvili (10) and Jared Rhoden (10) also scored in double figures for Seton Hall, which lost its second straight.

Cale connected on three 3-pointers while Samuel and Takal Molson added a pair apiece.

Reynolds also found time for a game-high eight assists.

Omoruyi had 12 of his points, including a pair of 3-pointers, in the first half, during which the Ducks used a 13-3 burst to open a 10-point lead after the game had been tied at 19-all. Oregon led 34-28 at the break.

Omoruyi had 2- and 3-point hoops in the run, while Amauri Hardy and Duarte also contributed treys.

The first half featured 13 3-pointers, including seven by the Pirates to account for 21 of their 28 points.
