Trevion Williams piled up 28 points, six rebounds and three assists to lead Purdue to its second victory over Michigan State this season, 75-65, at West Lafayette, Ind. on Tuesday.

Williams scored in the final seconds to give the Boilermakers a road victory over the Spartans last month. There wasn't any suspense in the last minute during the rematch, as Purdue pulled away down the stretch.

Jaden Ivey had 11 points, five rebounds and three assists and Zach Edey tossed in 10 points with five rebounds for Purdue (14-8 overall, 9-6 Big Ten).

Michigan State (10-9, 4-9) suffered a 30-point blowout at home to Iowa on Saturday. The Spartans were much more competitive on Tuesday but were hampered by 16 turnovers, leading to 18 Purdue points.

Aaron led the Spartans with 15 points, five rebounds and four assists, Joey Hauser had 11 points and Julius Marble contributed 10.

Hunter made the Boilermakers' first 3-pointer of the game with 15:38 remaining, giving Purdue a 39-34 lead.

Marble went on a personal 5-0 run to tie the game. Edey scored four points in a 6-0 Purdue spurt that gave it a 47-42 lead.

Ivey dunked off a Williams feed to make it 51-47. Hunter's 3-pointer with 7:39 remaining increased the Boilermakers' advantage to seven points.

Michigan State scored the next six points but Williams answered with a 5-0 run of his own.

Mason Gillis made four free throws in a 35-second span to provide Purdue with a 68-61 lead with two minutes remaining.

Williams converted a putback with 53 seconds left to make it 70-63, but the Spartans' turnovers down the stretch prevented them from making a comeback.

Both coaches shuttled players in and out during the first half, with the Spartans using 12 players and the Boilermakers 10. Williams scored 12 points as Purdue led 30-27 at the break.

The Boilermakers missed all seven of their 3-point attempts but went 14-for-22 on two-point tries while outscoring the Spartans 28-12 in the lane.

Michigan State shot 35.7 percent from the field but never trailed by more than six points in the first 20 minutes.
