Drew Timme had a double-double with a career-high 28 points and 10 rebounds and preseason All-American Corey Kispert added 25 points as No. 1 Gonzaga crushed Auburn 90-67 on Friday at the Fort Myers Tip-Off in Florida.

Freshman guard Jalen Suggs, the highest-rated recruit in school history, added 12 points and a game-high six assists for the Bulldogs (2-0), who defeated No. 6 Kansas 102-90 on Thanksgiving Day.

The Zags were without two unnamed players who were put into quarantine because of coronavirus concerns. Gonzaga had three non-athletes who were part of the school's traveling party in isolation Thursday in their hotel rooms after one tested positive.

Allen Flanigan led Auburn (1-1) with 20 points. JT Thor and Jamal Johnson each added 11 points, the only other Tigers to reach double-digit scoring.

Jaylin Williams, who had 18 points and 11 rebounds in a 96-91 overtime victory against Saint Joseph's on Thursday, battled foul trouble and was held scoreless with two rebounds in 20 minutes of play.

The Tigers led twice in the opening two minutes before Gonzaga went on an 11-0 run, capped by a Kispert 3-pointer, for a 16-6 lead. Johnson hit back-to-back 3s to pull the Tigers within four, but that was as close as they would get the rest of the game.

Gonzaga built a 17-point lead in the first half on its way to a 49-35 lead at the intermission. Timme scored 17 in the half.

The Bulldogs scored the first seven points of the second half and extended the margin to as many 30 points, 80-50, with 8:21 remaining.

Gonzaga shot 52.9 percent from the field (36 of 68) and outrebounded the Tigers 44-32. The Zags had a 52-16 edge in points in the paint and 19-2 in second-chance points.

The victory was the 601st of Gonzaga coach Mark Few's career.

The Bulldogs are next scheduled to play West Virginia on Wednesday in the Jimmy V Classic in Indianapolis.
