Where: Colonial Life Arena, Columbia, South Carolina
Officials: # Robert Felder, # Pat Evans, # Pat Adams

Sophomore Allen Flanigan scored a career-high 24 points and Jaylin Williams added 18 to lead visiting Auburn to a 109-86 victory over South Carolina on Saturday in Columbia, S.C.

Sharife Cooper finished with 16 points, matched his season best of 12 assists and grabbed six rebounds. He had a double-double in the first half with 10 points and 11 assists against just a single turnover.

The freshman continued to be the catalyst for the Tigers (9-7, 3-5 SEC), who won for the third time in four games. He orchestrated a balanced attack in which JT Thor and Devan Cambridge scored 14 and 10 points, respectively, as Auburn recorded a season high for points.

Flanigan made 7 of 12 from the field, including 4-for-6 from the 3-point line, while Williams shot 8 of 12, including hitting 2 of 3 from beyond the arc. The Tigers shot 51.9 percent from the field and were 14 of 27 from 3-point range.

South Carolina (3-5, 1-3), which dropped its third straight game, was led by Keyshawn Bryant with 24 points and AJ Lawson with 23. Lawson made 6 of 8 3-point shots and the Gamecocks were 9 of 24 overall while shooting 41.2 percent from the field.

The Tigers dominated the first half by shooting 52.8 percent (19-for-36) from the field, including making eight of 14 3-point attempts, in addition to making 11 of 12 free-throw attempts. The Tigers, who led 57-42 at the break, had three players score in double figures in the opening half -- Williams (14), Flanigan (14) and Cooper (10).

Lawson scored 18 of South Carolina's 42 first-half points. The Gamecocks shot 35.1 percent (13-for-37) from the field and made just 11 of 17 attempts from the free-throw line.

Unlike Auburn's last outing when the Tigers squandered a 19-point, first-half lead in a 75-73 loss at Arkansas, the Tigers made sure history didn't repeat itself on Saturday.

The Tigers opened the half on a 6-0 run and led by as many as 31 in the second half.
