Tres Tinkle's 26 points led Oregon State to an 80-46 win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Saturday afternoon in Corvallis, Ore.

The Beavers (8-1) cruised to their sixth straight win despite playing for the first time in 13 days. Oregon State scored 23 unanswered points after the Golden Lions scored the game's first basket, and the Beavers coasted from there.

Tinkle, the Pac-12's scoring leader at 21.4 points per game entering Saturday's game, had 17 points in the first half, with Ethan Thompson posting 10 points and five assists. Tinkle extended his double-figure scoring streak to 74 consecutive games, the second-longest streak in school history behind Mel Counts' 89.

Tinkle also had six rebounds, five steals and four assists.

Thompson finished with 21 points. Marquell Carter's 13 points led the Golden Lions (1-8), who got 11 from guard Dequan Morris.

The Beavers can match the second longest winning streak in team history with a seventh consecutive victory if they defeat Texas-San Antonio on Dec. 18 in Houston.

Oregon State took a 45-18 lead into halftime, with the Golden Lions going 10 minutes and 27 seconds without a point in the first half.

Arkansas-Pine Bluff of the SWAC has played just once at home this season, with all of its road losses to higher-caliber opponents.

It was the Golden Lions' second trip to the Pacific Northwest in the nonconference season, having already played Gonzaga. A trip to Pullman, Wash., to play Washington State of the Pac-12 is still to come this month.

The Beavers put an exclamation point on the blowout win with Kylor Kelley's driving one-handed dunk with 3:53 to play, making the score 72-40. Kelley, the nation's leader in blocked shots with an average of 4.50 per game, rejected seven shots on Saturday and scored 11 points.

Oregon State is 4-0 against the Golden Lions all time, with all four games having been played in Oregon.
