Filip Petrusev had team-high totals of 17 points and 10 rebounds as No. 9 Gonzaga held off No. 22 Washington 83-76 on Sunday in a nonconference game in Seattle.

All five starters scored in double figures for the Bulldogs (10-1), who beat the Huskies (7-2) for the sixth straight time and the 13th time in the past 14 meetings. Washington holds a 29-19 lead in the all-time series, which dates to 1910.

Ryan Woolridge tallied 16 points on 8-of-11 shooting, Corey Kispert and Killian Tillie each scored 15, and Joel Ayayi had 12 points, including a clinching 3-pointer with 25 seconds remaining. Tillie had six assists and five rebounds, and Ayayi had four assists.

Washington was led by its trio of former McDonald's All-Americans.

Freshman forward Isaiah Stewart finished with 21 points, shooting 6 of 7 from the field, and 10 rebounds, freshman forward Jaden McDaniels scored 15 and grabbed seven boards, and sophomore guard Quade Green had 14 points and a game-high eight assists.

Junior guard Nahziah Carter scored 15 points, including two 3-pointers in the final 2:39 as the Huskies kept the game close throughout.

Woolridge made a layup with 17:14 left in the first half to give the Zags a lead they never relinquished.

But Gonzaga wasn't able to pull away, its largest lead reaching nine points midway through in the second half.

The Huskies thrice trimmed the deficit to two points in the second half, twice in the final four minutes.

McDaniels made a 3-pointer from the top of the key with 3:54 left to make it 72-70.

Tillie responded with a long 3-pointer with 2:56 to go, before the Huskies' Carter made a trey to make it 75-73 with 2:39 left.

Woolridge made two consecutive driving layups to give Gonzaga a 79-73 lead, before Carter hit another trey with 1:45 left.

Ayayi's long 3-pointer restored the six-point lead, and Tillie capped the scoring with a free throw with 13 seconds left.

Gonzaga took a 41-37 halftime lead behind 10 points from Woolridge, a transfer from North Texas. Stewart had 10 points in the first half for the Huskies.
