Jahmi'us Ramsey and Kyler Edwards scored 20 points each and No. 23 Texas Tech broke away over the final 10 minutes to post a 73-58 win over visiting Cal State Bakersfield on Sunday afternoon in Lubbock, Texas.

The Red Raiders led just 44-41 with 12:54 to play but then forged a 13-2 run capped by a Ramsey steal and dunk to push their advantage to 57-43 with 9:01 remaining.

CSU Bakersfield pulled to within 10 points twice from there, the final time at the 3:08 mark on two free throws by Justin McCall, but Texas Tech poured it on in the final stretch, pumping its advantage to as many as 19.

Edwards' point total, 18 of which came in the second half, set a career high. Chris Clarke added nine points, seven rebounds and nine assists off the bench for the Red Raiders.

The win pushed Texas Tech's winning streak to four games and extended its nonconference winning run at home to 54 games.

Justin Edler-Davis paced the Roadrunners (6-9) with 10 points. CSU Bakersfield shot just 34.6 percent in the second half.

Texas Tech (9-3) trailed at 2-0 but never again and owned as much as a seven-point lead in the first half.

Ramsey led all scorers at the half with 11 points on 4-of-6 shooting as the Red Raiders led 33-29 at the break. The game was nearly even statistically over the first 20 minutes, with both teams shooting 46 percent but with CSU Bakersfield outrebounding Texas Tech 20-12.

Cam Allen and Shawn Stith paced the Roadrunners with 6 points each off the bench in the first half as CSU Bakersfield's reserves outscored the Red Raiders' bench players 19-5.

It was the final game before conference play for both teams (Texas Tech in the Big 12 and CSU Bakersfield in the Western Athletic Conference).
